help wanted & a vlog

what a past few days this has been. I've been productive people! yay! I re-started making cards and it felt good to have glue and ink all over my fingers. I am planning to start making Halloween and Christmas cards in this next week! Christmas cards are always the highest in demand from my family & friends. I am so thankful for their support. Because of them, i am able to make a bit of money, which is quite helpful.

I am thinking that maybe i can display some cards I've made on the blog & then if any of you are interested in buying one, you could just leave me a comment and then I'll email you? I am not sure if I want to give the direct link the album of cards I have for sale on my personal facebook page, just because I am protective of my family & friends on there. I don't have the mentality right now to set up a store envy shop, like that of etsy. Hmm, maybe I should set up a facebook page just for my cards OR set up one for my blog and cards? What do you guys think?

Other than that, not much to report. I do have a vlog to share about some small moments that I've experienced last month that have had a positive affect on my life.

Pbskids to the rescue! & a vlog

Is this week flying by for you? Because I sure feel like it's flying by! Yesterday, for a brief moment, I felt like it was Sunday. I know that seems contradictory to the week whisking by, but that's what happened.

I had a blasted migraine yesterday morning and took a long nap which did help. After that, I had school time with little P. We practiced her abc's and read Five Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed. We also managed to squeeze in half a counting game on pbskids.org. It was sort of funny when she got mad at her mom because she didn't want to go home. I mean a 5 year old and her angry eyebrows lol. She wanted to continue playing on my laptop.

Anyways, I am so glad there is an age-appropriate, wholesome learning website like pbskids.org. On the Curious George section [there are so many different sections like those of Arthur, Clifford the Big Red Dog and WordGirl], there are free printables: pictures to color and activities that you can print to help teach your child/ren or students.

I printed out this one and this one since little P needs to be able to count to 100 (counting/numbers in general) and know her abc's before August! She keeps forgetting the letter 'J' when singing the alphabet, but she does recognize the letter 'J' when she sees it. It seems a bit overwhelming, but I accept the challenge!

Later today, I plan on getting a couple of these resources ready so when she comes back tomorrow, we can continue learning fun!

I am all about preventing skin cancer, so I love finding & using products with a built-in sunscreen. I want a higher spf though specifically for my sensitive face!

Already the end of the 2nd week of August!? Whaaaaa!? I really can't believe it's been another week since we last met.

If you watch the news or live in Az, then you know, we've been experiencing record heat temps for this time of year. I heard last night that yesterday, the state of Az used more power than new york city! Because of this extreme heat, i haven't gone out of the house except to get the mail lol.

 look at my expression! hahahaha

vlog & lipgloss love

ello starlings, haha i just kinda made up that word &/or used it for the first time.

 forgive my spaciness toward the end!

In today's vlog, i mention and use a new lipgloss that i snagged at kmart on clearance for $2.50. it's sally hansen's lipinflation lipgloss in sonic plum. This girl does not need a bigger lips! I didn't buy it for the inflation (not really paying attention when i found it) but for the color! and for less than $3, yes pLeAse! i've been wanting a plum lipgloss, envisioning it to look perfect for a date night [not that i have any suitors right now, but a girl can dream and expect it soon!] lol.

When i first put the gloss on, within a minute my lips were tingling. must be the plumping action? The color is not as dark as it looks in the tube, which didn't disappoint me because the color is still dark enough for my wanting. I don't find it to be sticky much and it lasts a good couple of hours before needing to reapply. My lips stay moist with a nice shine.
